Ana Villagomez

Ana is originally from Guanajuato, Mexico, and moved to the U.S. in 1999 with her family to join a bilingual education program. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and brings over 10 years of experience in social services and early childhood education. Ana began her career as a preschool teacher and later served as a preschool director before joining Spanish Schoolhouse. As a bilingual learner herself and a mother of two, Ana is deeply passionate about language immersion and values the opportunity to support children's bilingual journeys both at home and in the classroom.
As Director of SSH Woodforest, Ana strives to create a warm, welcoming environment where children and families feel supported. She believes that teaching comes from the heart and finds joy in watching children grow into confident, curious learners. Ana is committed to building a strong, culturally rich early education environment and leads each day with purpose and dedication.

Periquito Azul is the feathered, friendly, and beloved mascot of Spanish Schoolhouse. The beautiful blue hyacinth macaw brings both fun and an extra touch of South America to our school. Periquito Azul helps us celebrate seasons, events, and learning throughout the school year!
